I was granted access to document the vital medical evacuations carried out by the NGO, CADUS, amidst the unfolding crisis on Ukraine's frontline. Tasked with transporting soldiers, many grappling with severe head wounds, from frontline hospitals to specialised treatment centres across the nation, CADUS operated amidst unstable and hazardous conditions with steadfast determination. My photographs seek to quietly acknowledge CADUS's critical work, subtly spotlighting moments of human connection and persistent hope amidst conflict.
